with Emily Bratt

Welcome to a thriving workshop with Emily Bratt!

Immerse yourself in the most inspiring floristry of the spring season with gardener and Slow flowers expert Emily Bratt. We work with the most beautiful materials of the season, both from the wild and cultivated flora: spring-flowering lignoscents, decorative foliage, Christmas roses and other early perennials, tulips and daffodils.

Emily shares her knowledge of cultivation, use of plant materials, color composition and various techniques to create harmonious floral arrangements.

Content

- Plant knowledge – basic theory with a focus on spring plants
- Flowers in season & color measurement
- Techniques for floristic creation
- Floristry: Preliminary study & construction of an arrangement
- Workshop – each participant creates their own centerpiece.

Vessels, flower fakirs and chicken nets are available to borrow on site. If you want to bring the arrangement you have created, you are welcome to bring your own fakir and vessel (otherwise, you can of course take the flowers home in some tissue paper).

About Emily Bratt

Emily Bratt is a gardener and one of Sweden's leading voices in the slow flowers movement. She has been vice-chair of the Swedish Cut Flower Growers Association and started Sweden's first slow flowers training at Gunnebo Slott in 2021. Emily has appeared frequently in the media and has appeared in GP, ​​Elle Decoration, Residence and Allt om Trädgård, among others. She has also been listed on Rums magazine's "Power List" of Sweden's 100 most influential people in design and architecture two years in a row (2021 & 2022).

Her book A Different Kind of Garden was released in 2021 and her next book will be released in November 2025.
