The Archive Collection
Mylands introduced The Archive Collection in fall 2021, a collection inspired by the company’s long and rich history. The collection consists of 12 new colors that combine historical influences with a timeless aesthetic for today’s interiors. The palette ranges from soft pinks, honey yellows and rustic oranges to soft blues, deep reds and rich greens. Each color is carefully selected to create a refreshing palette with intense pigments and deep tones.

A Tribute to Historical Colors and Traditions
The collection draws on Myland’s extensive archive of custom-developed colours, developed for various clients over several decades, and also includes shades from the British Colour Council. These colours reflect both individual character and breadth – from simple neutral tones to bold and expressive hues.
The selected shades include old favourites from the Mylands archive and colours from the company's collection of 'British Television Standards', a palette that has been used since the 1950s in many beloved British film, TV and theatre productions. The British Colour Council, active between the 1930s and 1950s, designed colour standards for horticulture, government and academic institutions, among others. Mylands used these shades until the mid-1950s, when the British Standard Colour Chart became the new industry guideline. Today, Mylands recreates some of these beloved colours in The Archive Collection, with exclusive license to revive these historic shades.
Archive Collection won the Best Color Collection award in the 2022 Livingetc Style Awards.
