Lilla Gungans Glass, a gelateria where Italian artisan tradition meets the charm of a small-scale garden town, in the middle of wonderful Gamla Enskede. Here, all gelato is made on site in the authentic Italian way, with the same care and love that we put into every detail of the interior.
Coloring
The color palette is taken from Beata Heumans' collection The Dependables , where each color is chosen with care to create a warm, playful and welcoming atmosphere.
In the retail area, the walls and ceiling have been painted in the soft, chalky shade Bone , which gives the room a light and airy foundation. The joinery has been given the buttery yellow tone Butter , which adds warmth and character.
In the dining room, we reverse the roles – the walls are painted in Butter , while the joinery is painted in John's Pantry : a stylish, sunny and eye-catching ochre yellow shade. It gives the joinery a powerful presence and creates a playful yet sophisticated caramel-like contrast against the vanilla yellow walls.
The project is alive and in constant development. Follow along here to see how details and expressions develop over time.

About the area
Old Enschede
Often called "The First Garden City", Gamla Enskede is one of Stockholm's most charming neighborhoods. Planned in the early 20th century as a counterbalance to the dense inner city, the area was built with the vision of a quieter, greener and more humane place to live - a place where city meets garden.
The low houses, gravel paths and flourishing little gardens create an almost small-town feel, despite its proximity to the city. Here, winding cobblestone streets coexist with beautiful 1920s houses and lush parks. It is an area that offers tranquility and history – but also hustle and bustle with local bakeries, cafes, small shops and craft shops that maintain the authenticity.
Gamla Enskede is more than just a beautiful neighborhood – it is a place with soul and care, where community and detail are allowed to take place. Here, personal expression is valued, whether it is about architecture, interior design or taste experiences. It is precisely this feeling that we are inspired by in our work – a balance between tradition, warmth and creative joy.
