Stockholm-based Sara Lailasdotter creates works of art where she makes flat acrylic glass look lusciously alive. After working in the art and design world for most of her adult life, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2015. She then delved into interior design and later became an Art Director. Despite all the years of study and work in the creative world, she constantly sought to return to her creative core from which her wonderful work has now arisen.
Her playful and colorful designs spread an infectious joy and bring to mind the iconic Memphis group, known for their rebellious expression and use of bold colors and shapes. Just like the Memphis group, Sara dares to push the boundaries of what is possible in design, and she creates works that both surprise and inspire. We at Brandstationen love how her work breaks with the traditional and invites playfulness and creative freedom - something that permeates every piece she creates and gives a sense of both nostalgia and modernity.
