The Pewterer
In the heart of France, a craft lives on that has almost completely disappeared. Le Potier D’Étain is France's last traditional pewter workshop, where the same knowledge and craftsmanship have been passed down through six generations.
Each item is handmade in their own workshop in Drôme, using traditional techniques and a precision that testifies to an unusual artisanal heritage. Their work has been recognized with the prestigious French award Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) – a quality label awarded to companies with exceptional craftsmanship and manufacturing expertise.
The collection consists of detailed items where classic motifs, nature, and subtle playfulness meet traditional French pewter craftsmanship. Each object is cast in a lead-free alloy with at least 95% pure pewter and finished by hand, which gives each piece its own character and beautiful luster.
Le Potier D’Étain represents a piece of living French cultural heritage – objects created by hand, according to a craft passed down from generation to generation and which is now almost unique.
Handmade in France for six generations.
