A Sculptural Icon From the 1960s

The Nagel candlestick was born in the 1960s after an idea that Hans Nagel had during a skiing holiday in the Alps. After falling backwards, three perfect holes were created in the snow, which inspired him to design a simple and sculptural candlestick with space for three candles. He asked architect Werner Stoff to realize the idea, and together they created a candlestick that became a symbol of the creative freedom and design revolution of that era.

The candlestick, with its three legs and elegant shape, became a world-renowned design icon, first launched in the late 1960s. It represented a form of artistic expression and became an important part of the development of the design world. Recently, it has been revived by the Danish design company STOFF Copenhagen, who reintroduced the timeless design based on Werner Stoff's original drawings. The candlestick now continues to adorn homes around the world, as an eternal symbol of creativity and design.
